Box place of work Shocker: ‘Avengers’ Scores $80.5 Million

Racing previous all projections, walt disney and Marvel Studios’ The Avengers grossed $80.5 million dollars on Friday, the 2nd greatest solo morning of all time in the domestic box office.

Joss Whedon‘s three dimensional superhero extravaganzas also earned a glowing Cinema Score from moviegoers. during Friday, Avengers was on pace to gross $65 million dollars to $70 million dollars for that day, but quantities shot up due to a late evening surge in traffic.

He fought long and hard to convince Hollywood it was ripe for an adaptation and maybe even harder for his inspired casting choice of Ron Perlman, but both are fully justified by the finished product. Fans were impressed with the film, and the general public responded well enough to warrant an upcoming sequel.
